In and Out for November

Hello sugarpuffs!

Here are my ins and outs for November, please remember this is my opinion, one man's trash is another mans treasure yada yada yads (although for Olay day cream I make and exception, you are the moisturiser of Satan - fact)!

Ins

Carmex Lipbalm
Zoya Nail Polish in Drew, Ciara and Ultraglitter (all posted about previously)
Nars Highlighter stick (is it a multiple?) in Copacabana, loooove this but bloody expensive
YSL Rouge Volupte in Number 19
Essie Nail Polish in Midnight Cami
Bourjoise 1001 Cils Mascara in Black - best cheapo mascara that isn't l'oreal voluminous hehe

Out

Olay Aqua Physics Day Cream
Ciate for ASOS nail paint in Alexa - just use Essie Midnight Cami if you want a navy polish that actually works
L'oreal lash renewal double ended thingy. Gold end for primer = good, mascara end = pointlessly useless
Soap and Glory - The Fill Monty - does this do what it says on the tin...no...does it do anything...no

For more explanation and a bit of a high street shopping haul then please take a look at my youtube video here:

Please subscribe if you like them (since subbing if you don't like them is a bit silly lol).

Cargo Plant Love Green Goddess Palette

I just wanted to do a quick rave about a new product that I got, the website that I bought it from (as they have very good customer service) and a FOTD with the palette that I bought.

Firstly the website that I ordered from is called Puresha, I just stumbled upon this website I wasn't looking particularly for this brand or anything. Puresha stock natural products that are organic or eco. The makeup brand that they sell on their site is by Cargo but it is a line of Cargo called Plant Love.

Cargo Plant Love products are an eco responsible brand with no parabens, they do not test on animals, the packaging is made of plants (!!) It is the only prestige brand to carry the globally recognised eco cert. The natural and organic ingredients and award winning compostable packaging let you be 'green' and glam. There are no synethtic dyes, colours or fragrances in the products. Now this all sounds good but what if the products are fugly and useless? Well luckily they are neither! I picked up the palette called the Green Goddess.

This is the outside of the palette, not very glam but hey it is made of plants!

The palette is really good value, it was £22 and you get 4 full size eyeshadows and 2 full size blushes all in a slim palette like Stila's used to be which fits in a handbag or even a clutch bag as it is so thin. I like that the packaging is biodegradeable.

Here are the swatches of the eyeshadows, they are this pigmented with just one swipe of a Mac 239 brush.

The eyeshadows are:
Bamboo: Bronzey chocolate brown with a gold sheen

Thyme: Palish green with a gold toned shimmer

Beech: Gorgeous champagne brown, shimmery

Lily: Pink with tiny gold glitter fleck

The blushes are:

Peony - more gold shimmery version of nars orgasm

Rose - just like the name says a matte rose pink

The only thing I am slightly dissapoined with is the blush in peony, it seems a similar texture as the lily and thyme eyeshadows, which work fine as eyeshadows especially with an eyeshadow base, but it wasn't as smooth to apply as the blush in rose so I would give the palette 8/10 because of that.

Everything is so well pigmented and soft and really applies well, it's surprising that it's all natural really for such good quality, I was very pleasantly surprised.

Has anyone else heard of this brand? I wonder why I haven't seen much of it anywhere?

And I will do a FOTD or a video tomorrow but unfortunately the GODDAMN OLAY MOTHER****** has given me a rash over my entire face. Nice. This is the day cream not the serum. And bear in mind I am allergic to everything so it probably isn't that bad. So erm this is pizza face signing out lol!

Hair products the good and the bad plus new youtube vid

I have just uploaded another Youtube video, this one is about my current favourite hair products and what I am using to improve the condition of my hair and help it grow and stop looking like straw basically.  I have been doing 'project barnet' since August/September and have found that it is really difficult to find decent hair products that actually do something!

I didn't mention it on the video but these are the products that I found didn't do anything at all:

  • Tresemme 24 hour volume shampoo - it was ok but didn't really do anything or smell that nice
  • Tommyguns volume conditioner - blueberry and honey - smelled yummy but was a bit too thin to do much
  • Naked shampoos, I tried two the Hydrating and the rescue intensive but neither did anything other than make my hair more dry.  I love the other Naked products so no idea what is going on with their shampoo!
  • Herbal Essences, tried a few of the different colours and none of them improved anything, they make your hair so soft it is impossible to style as well which is rather annoying
  • Lee Stafford overnight treatment, smells funky and did absolutely nothing for my hair at all
  • Pantene, this does the same for me as the Herbal Essences, just makes the hair really soft so I can't style it but does not help with the damage at all, smells ok though
And here are my current favourite products.  Please let me know if you have any recommendations for other things that you think I should try!

Coastal Scents Palette Swatches and Drugstore Skincare Haul

Morning everyone

Saturday midday is my fave gym time but just before I pop to the gym here are the swatches that were requested by my lovely matey Jo

The swatches are just in order of the lightest to the darkest, from left to right top row to bottom row

In other news I read about the Olay Anti Wrinkle Aqua Physics serum here http://jo-shopaholic.blogspot.com/ at the other Jo's lovely blog.  Since it was such a rave for the product AND Boots have a Olay 2 products for £12 offer at the moment I picked up the serum and the day cream.  I also had a £5 off  voucher for other Olay products so I picked up these funky dermapods so hopefully all of my fine lines will be blasted into the stratosphere lol!  I will review once I have been using them for a while.

While I was in Boots I also noticed they had a 3 for 2 offer on Soap and Glory products for men and for women, so I picked these up as stocking fillers for the BF.  Only pics of 2 items as I bought 2 shower gels.

So these might be worth a look for your BF or brother etc if you need a few stocking fillers

What is everyone else up to today?  After the gym we are popping to Gillingham ice rink, since neither of us have been ice skating in years and I have finally managed (touch wood) to prise the BF off the sofa!
